Des Moines Farmers Market | Saturday May 10th, 2012

One of the fun perks of living in East Village here in Des Moines is the ability to walk to the Des Moines Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

I probably can not attend to too many this year due to shooting weddings on many Saturdays but last weekend was open and the market was just delightful!

I have been hitting up the Farmers Market here for years but the last few it has grown so much and changed into something that is just wonderful for the downtown Des Moines community. There are over 200 family farmers, bakers, artists & craf people from around the state. Also bands! You can’t forget the bands. Well that and the plethora of puppies.

If you are from the area and have yet to go or haven’t been in years I highly recommend taking a stroll down to Court Ave for the Farmers Market sometime soon!

Simpson Wedding Preview 05.05.12 | Des Moines Iowa Wedding

Saturday we spent with the wonderful Megan & Brandon here in Des Moines with their wedding at The Bridge in Johnston and reception at The Hilton Garden Inn West. Just wanted to share a few from their portrait session from the wedding, wow there are SO many fun photos to share from this I can’t wait to finish editing!

Tacker Wedding | Indianola Iowa

Jenn contacted us last June that her and her fiancé Lucas were in search of wedding photographers for their big day the following spring. I grew up with Jenn and attended elementary-high school with her in Indianola as well as tumbled through the years together at Joyce Gymnastics. I couldn’t have been more thrilled when they decided to go with us to photograph their engagement and wedding photos!

Jenn and Lucas were married on a fantastic mid 70 degree spring day at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Indianola. Funny since we joked at their engagement session we might be seeing snow on their date! The reception followed shortly after at the Milo Community Center.

Thanks for letting us be part of your wedding day, you two truly have some awesome family and friends in your life! You can tell just how much they care about you. Also, I am definitely waiting on seeing some gorgeous honeymoon photos out of you two from Tahiti sometime soon!
