We headed to my hometown of Indianola this past Sunday for Lauren & Bills engagement session. We started off the shoot at Simpson College track where Bill played Football for the Simpson Storm and Lauren ran Track. Then trekked across the gorgeous fall leaves of the Simpson College campus to Buxton Park. The leaves were the perfect back drop for a leaf fight as well as celebrating their love of the Iowa Hawkeye’s and football. Next stop after some football and formal photos was the delicious Mexican joint in Indianola, La Casa. Lauren and Bill are having them cater for their wedding this summer and it is one of their favorite places to visit together. They love all things Mexican food and yummy margaritas! Lastly we headed back up towards home with some shots at the Capital and around the far eastern side of East Village to finish up the shoot.

Tanner and I can’t wait to work with these two and celebrate their wedding this August at The Des Moines Scottish Rite! These two are simply awesome.

Thanks Lauren & Bill for being fantastic to work with! This weekend we are meeting with another one of our 2011 couples Friday night and have an engagement shoot with another 2011 summer wedding couple on Sunday in Storm Lake.

Also..newsflash…were getting a 50mm f/1.2! And on the way from CPS (Canon Pro Services) a Mark I camera body and a 300mm and/or 400mm lens rental for the last BVU home football game of the year. Ahh we do love CPS!
