Last weekend Tanner and I had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for an extremely fun couple! I think they laughed the entire shoot and we got some awesome pictures!

They meet when they both worked at Dos Rios Cantina and Tequila Lounge which for those of you who don’t know is an amazing Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Lounge  in Des Moines located on Court Avenue. Visit their website here:  Dos Rios Website

To begin the day we started out at Dos Rios for some fun shots!

We then moved onto this awesome bridge over the river with some fun walk ways. Amber and Scott’s new dog Gus came out as well to play!

Isn’t Gus adorable?!

We then took a few fun pictures outside Scott’s parents place across from the bridge.

On Saturday Tanner and I went location scouting and found this awesome warehouse just out of Des Moines which we thought would make a great location to shoot some photos! The semi idea came out great!

The capital is always an awesome location as it really is a staple of Des Moines and as Amber & Scott have worked and lived downtown for a few years they really wanted some fun skyline shots of their home.

We had an interesting experience with a “Rocky” remake at the capital…this brought on some amazing laughs. I’ll have to post the video of this sometime soon!

Last location we shot at was just outside Dos Rios towards the court house. They lived just to the left of this a few years ago and really wanted some fun shots in their old neighborhood!

Lastly here are some fun ring shots with our new 100mm macro lens!

We can’t wait to shoot your wedding this fall Amber & Scott! You two are so much fun!

Just an FYI for all those other people out there…we have 5 more engagement shoots coming up in the next few weeks so we are excited to try out some new ideas  we’ve had brewing all winter with them as well as for the awesome weather! YAY for no more snow in Iowa! (Hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself there!)
