Tanner put together these seriously awesome composites of Buena Vista University athletes over the last few weeks. His goal was to portray them larger than life and attract a feeling of pride, especially in BVU conveyed by the photos.

The athletes pics were all taken with three alien bee strobes to create an image that was gritty and high contrast in a separate location. The backgrounds are all HDR (high dynamic range) composites.

All shot with a Canon 5D MK II, 16-35L II, 70-200 f/2.8L
